   Lake Toba is one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake Toba is actually more like an ocean. This is the largest lake in Southeast Asia and one of the deepest lakes in the world. This is good choice for you traveler if looking for place to sit back, relax and absorb some beautiful pristine scenery. 

   As you sit and take in the view of the picture mountains set against the clear lake, you will feel theworries of the world melt away. As the lake sits 900 meters above sea level, therefore the climate here is cooler which gives a well-needed break from the heat, humidity, and pollution of the city. A lot traveler come here aspecially local ethnically are bataks. 

You can get there with 3 ways by the Air, Land, Water.

1. Air

Medan have an international gateway. A number of airlines fly daily between the Kualanamu Airport Medan and all major cities in Indonesia. the first you can transits in Kualanamu airport and continue to Sibisa Airport with special plane.

2. Land

Parapat, the town by Lake Toba, is 176 km away from Medan City and can be reached in under 6 hours by public buses that follow two routes: Medan-Parapat or via Medan-Berastagi.

3. Water
If you already arrive in Parapat, you can across the island with the ferry to Samosir Island. The ferry travels every hour and a half. The two landing points on Samosir are the traditional village of Tomok, or Tuk Tuk, where the island's hotels and restaurants are concentrated.

    Lake Toba is home for two ethnic groups of Tomok and Simanindo. Located on the island of Samosir, the traditional village is protected by surrounding barriers of earthen ramparts with bamboo fencing and trees. Lake Toba is a cool place because it is located between the mountains that make cold air. and Lake 

     Toba once had a dark story in 2018, which contained motorbikes and people who wanted to cross. because the weight has over the capacity and bad weather so the ship fell to the left. passengers do not have time to use the buoy because the incident is very fast passing. hundreds of people disappeared, and until now the wreck of ship has not been successfully lifted to the mainland
